Here’s an overview of the creative work I do infrequently but enthusiastically:

Presentations

As much as I like writing, I love meeting people in the flesh to talk about culture and art in the widest possible sense. A recent highlight was my introduction for the Stephen King adaptation Misery, part of the Philosophers at the Cinema programme at Cinema City Norwich.

Creative writing

I write short stories and (as yet unpublished) novels. My novella Hell was shortlisted for the MsLexia Novella Prize 2018, and I was shortlisted for the National Centre for Writing’s Escalator programme in 2020. Hell is available to buy here and there.

Reviewing

I occasionally review books and films, with a preference for independent creations. I’m always interested to hear about new works to write about!
