Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma: A Review

Depending on how capable you are of bearing embarrassment, Jane Schoenbrun’s newest film may cause some issues when you get to the front of the queue to buy your next cinema ticket. The film has only just been released and has already received rave reviews with an incredible 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Can it live up to the hype? I went to my local cinema to find out.

Reading Pride: A Book Review

One great way to celebrate Pride month if you’re an introvert is by reading a book. I initially picked The Intoxicating Mr Lavelle by Neil Blackmore for purely aesthetic reasons. Its racy pink cover seemed appropriate for the time of year. I don’t normally like historical fiction very much – I don’t know why, it’s just one of my blind spots – but this seemed like a good time to leave my usual comfort zone.
